About
“Unruly Natures” is an ongoing collaborative research project initiated by Federico Luisetti and Flurina Gradin. In 2021 Rony Emmenegger, Emiliano Guaraldo, and Christoph Miler, joined the extended core team of the project.
The aim is to study socio-natural subjectivities, promote transdisciplinary conversations, and organize innovative ecopolitical initiatives.
The project involves a growing network of scholars from different disciplines such as Political Geography, Environmental Humanities, Natural Sciences, Design, Philosophy, Critical Theory, and the Visual Arts and is organised around four main sets of activities:
1. Collective on-site workshops and extended transdisciplinary working groups
2. Online Journal
3. Lecture series and conferences
4. Public outreach
The Unruly Natures platform forms the basis for a transdisciplinary network, further subprojects, institutional collaborations, and public awareness campaigns on natural subjectivities. Research findings will be recorded and made available as publications and online resource. From 2025 onwards, publications on unrulynatures.ch follow the APA7 formatting guidelines.
